Job Description: The Software Licensing Department primarily acquires commercial-off-the-shelf software products and software maintenance services for all direct production and developmental programs, government and commercial, as well as for indirect areas such as operations, finance, human resources, IT engineering and other non-production areas. Specific responsibilities include: Ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality software products and/or services, in accordance with General Dynamics' intended use requirements and prime contract flowdowns. Prepare and disseminate requests for proposals/quotations, statements of work and facilitate procurement meetings between suppliers and program personnel or otherwise with internal personnel. Evaluate proposals, negotiate contractual and business terms and award purchase orders. Prepare and administer complex purchase orders of a significant dollar value in an efficient manner. Purchase order documentation must be complete, orderly and in accordance with company procedures for procurements under government contracts. Lead complex contract negotiations with an emphasis in intellectual property matters. Pursuant to the internal COTS process, identify and minimize contractual risks from the pre-proposal phase through research and development, contract award, production, delivery, and close out phases. Communicate licensing risks to program personnel for review and approval. Draft revisions to software licenses, non-disclosure agreements, professional services and other agreements, domestic and international. Provide sourcing guidance to Program teams. Serve as the focal point for all supplier requirements and manage supplier relationships. Resolve delivery, payment and return issues. Provide basic mentoring to junior colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience plus 5 years related experience
Unique/Additional HHRequirements: Understanding and application of government procurement principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Ability to work with a high degree of independence, solving complex problems in a fast paced, demanding environment. Effective at interfacing with supplier personnel (including sales people, all levels of management and legal counsel), and GD internal customers (including members of Engineering, Program Management and Contracts).Knowledge of (and experience desired) negotiating agreements, especially software license and maintenance agreements, but also including reseller agreements, systems integrator agreements, nondisclosure agreements and professional services agreements. Ability to evaluate the legal and business impact of non-standard terms and conditions and negotiate favorable terms. Excellent writing skills and PC skills required. Knowledge of Ariba Enterprise Spend Management ("ESM") helpful. Ability to work with a high degree of independence, solving complex problems, in a fast-paced, demanding environment required. What does a Meat Buyer DO?

In addition to being responsible for the procurement of meat products from manufactures and other sources while ensuring maximum profit margins and monitoring inventory levels, you’ll also be responsible for:
• Engaging with customers on service levels and partner with vendors to successfully manage all aspects of product flow.
• Procuring product from branded and non branded meat vendors while achieving targeted customer service level rates by monitoring, identifying, reacting to, communicating, and solving potential issues.
• Negotiating with vendors and customers to maximize product flow, manage inventory levels and coordinate action against close coded, expired and other unproductive inventory. Interact with customers to communicate successes and resolve issues.

Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Senior Buyer Planner provides support in both the supply chain area and in SAP systems support. As such, the ideal candidate would have strong background in SAP as a certified SAP Power User specializing in the supply chain management modules, capable of facilitating and managing new system and process development and introduction, as well as optimum use of the capabilities of the SAP system. . Support New Product Development Teams as the Materials Lead and be able to lead small projects as required from time to time.
